The job

We are looking to bring on a student advisor who will be responsible for providing educational guidance to potential digital marketing and entrepreneurial course students.

You’re based in Malta and will primarily work from home and meet with our chairman face-to-face once a week.

Working hours
Flexible (we’re open between 8-17 on weekdays) with an estimated 10-20 hours a week for starters – possible increase in hours with time.

Contract type
You will be working on a part-time freelance basis.

Starting date
As soon as possible.

Our purpose
You will be a core player in the Ricco Mortensen Foundation which is a non-profit organisation.

The foundation’s purpose is through educational activities to help entrepreneurs achieve insight, knowledge and success with their business. Also, at the same time increase life quality living as an entrepreneur.

The primary focus is on helping digital entrepreneurs – through courses in Malta – to create a digital nomad lifestyle with an income on autopilot. All on the team are freelancers and most of the team work remote.

Your profile

Passionate about digital marketing and entrepreneurship.
Have excellent writing and verbal English skills (if you speak Danish – that’s a big plus).
Independent, quick learner, have great negotiating and persuasion skills and you strive for perfection.
Have a modern laptop and a fast internet connection to be used for IP telephony and video calls.
Can work from your laptop (in a quiet location) from home or elsewhere.
Familiarity with Google GSuite (Gmail, Docs and Sheets), WordPress, Teamwork Projects, Zoom, Accredible and Calendly is a bonus.

Your tasks

Responsible for providing educational guidance and assistance to potential students by recommending relevant courses by email, phone and video conference calls.
Schedule teaching dates and update web pages accordingly, work closely with teachers and stay up-to-date with program changes.
Assist students from abroad in finding accommodation, with airport pickup, and making sure their stay is perfect.
Assist on teaching days, making sure the teaching location is all set and tidy during the day.
Issue students’ electronic course and diploma certificates.
Responsible for getting the foundation’s courses approved by the Malta Get Qualified Scheme, Training Aid Framework 2 (TAF2), Investing in Skills (IIS) and other relevant local Maltese and EU funding schemes.
Find inspiring high quality teaching locations in Malta and negotiate prices.
Mingle with other entrepreneurs in various physical Malteese and online communities.
Research, contact and partner up with local and European schools, institutes and universities for the foundation’s seminars, courses and professional diploma in digital entrepreneurship.
Monitor local Maltese digital marketing and entrepreneurship course competitors.
